Abstract
- The article discusses the systematic barriers in advancing the career of chemical engineering academics in Great Britain. Results from the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) study include undervalued and limiting teaching career, the differences in perspectives between management and teaching staff, and fewer degrees in engineering. The findings of the tce survey of the Institution of Chemical Engineering (IChemE) academics and RAEng were also compared.
