Abstract
- A literary criticism of the books "What We All Long For," by Dionne Brand and "Soucouyant," by David Chariandy is presented. Topics mentioned include the post-national sensibilities in the anglo-canadian novels about immigrant youth, the second-generation memories of collective or cultural trauma, and the feature of young adults being caught between adolescence and uncertain adulthood which represent the attitude of contemporary youth.
