Abstract

Alimony is the entire spending that is made for all vital needs of a wife such as food, clothing, and accomodation. Islamic Law requires from husband to supply his wife’s alimony and in return from wife to accompany her husband. It also has regarded necessary for the wife to avoid certain attitudes and behaviours in order to maintain the family properly and to continue the husband's alimony obligation. Among these sanctions; there is cutting of wife’s alimony temporarily and permanently. In marriage causes of not to paying of wife’s alimony are these: uprising, conversion, death, giving up earned alimony, adultery with family members, corruption in marriage contract, illness, childhood, can't afford to pay alimony, imprisonment and kidnapping.
