STARDAMP - Ein einfaches Laborverfahren zur Bewertung der Wirkung von Schienendämpfern.

Within the French-German research program STARDAMP a laboratory method has been developed in order to predict the noise mitigation potential of rail dampers. The key feature of this methodology is the fact, that field tests can be avoided and the test is done in an objective manner and cost efficient in the laboratory. The following paper presents the basic ideas of the method. The experimental setup including STARDAMP software is described in the way it is applied by DB Systemtechnik.
