Abstract

The article discusses a study which aims to compare the properties of Thermococcus kodakarensis (T. kodakarensis) ribonuclease P (RNase P) components with Pyrococcus horikoshii (P. horikoshii) RNase P. Topics discussed include the amplification of the genes encoding TkoRpp30 (TK1450) and TkoPop5 (TK1767), characterization of TkoPop5 and TkoRpp30, and structural determination, description and comparison between Tko Rpp30 and TkoPop5.
