The influence of Sclerotium bataticola attack was determined on some components of yield in sunflower varieties CIAP 23-3, CIAP B-8, CIAP 24-3 and CIAP J-E. The pathogen attack caused highly significant decreases in yield components: chapter diameter, number of aqueniums by sunflower and weigh of aqueniums. Charcoal rot disease of sunflower impacted in a different way in the 4 studied genotypes being observed smaller affectations in CIAP 23-3 variety while the variety CIAP B-8 suffered the higher losses.
