Abstract
- Mitochondrial Imaging In their Full Paper on page 12000 ff., H. Chao and co ‐ workers report the synthesis of five IrIII complexes with two ‐ photon phosphorescence that were utilized for mitochondrial imaging and tracking in living cells. The complexes exhibit numerous advantages for two ‐ photon imaging, including rapid incubation time, appreciable photostability, excellent pH resistance, low imaging concentration, low cytotoxicity at the imaging concentration, sufficient two ‐ photon absorbing cross ‐ sections for imaging, and high resistance to decreases in the mitochondrial membrane potential, making them suitable for tracking mitochondrial morphological changes during the early stages of apoptosis.
