Abstract

The article presents a report by the Utah Department of Health's Maternal and Infant Health Program, which showed that there are only 2,893 women who had abortions in 2013, the fewest since 1977. According to Carol Tobias, president of the organization National Right to Life, the declining number is due to the effects of pro-life laws in the state. Also cited is the comment by Matt Canham of "Salt Lake Tribune" on the topic.
