Das deutsche Volk und die Politik.

The article presents a report from a May 29-30, 2015 conference in Berlin, Germany on the relationship between the German people (Volk) and German politics hosted by the Hugo-Preuß-Stiftung society. Topics of presentations delivered included the role of German chancellor Otto von Bismarck in German historiography, the 1940 essay "The Canker of Germany" by Ernst G. Preuß, and the development of suffrage and industrial relations in Bavaria, Hamburg, and Saxony, Germany around the turn of the century.
