Abstract
- This article presents a proposal for the analysis of pragmatic presuppositions which takes into consideration the elements and relationships that allow the determination of their truth and/or convenience in the work of H. P. Lovecraft. This allows demonstrating that the pragmatic presuppositions found in the story "The Call of Cthulhu" generate a mistaken and discriminatory view which is the result of divergent interpretations of what is exotic, unknown and attractive about the topic, as well as ignorance about the culture of the countries which practice it.
