- Proposes that some of the more conspicuous Ediacaran fossils from the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland were biologically similar to members of the Kingdom Fungi. Comparisons between the Ediacaran organisms and extant taxa; Relationship between the fossils and microbial mats; Identification of fungal-specific biomarkers.
