Abstract

Presents a study that examined the microstructure, crystallization process, volume ratio of hard/soft phases and magnetic properties of Nd[subx]Fe[sub85-x]Co[sub8]V[sub1]B[sub6] bulk exchange-spring magnets having a hard Nd[sub2]Fe[sub14]B-Type Nd-Fe-Co-V-B and a soft α-Fe phase. Analysis of the creation of the bulk exchange-spring magnets through spark plasma sintering (SPS) method; Assessment of the changes during the magnetization state of the hard phase; Observations on the appearance of fine crystals in the interior of the starting powders and the size of the crystal grain during SPS.
