Abstract
- Reports on U.S. scientists' development of a compound called Venus Flytrap Cluster (VFC), which is effective in treating colorectal cancer. Cage of boron and carbon atoms in VFC, which acts as a carrier for a radioactive metal ion trapped inside; Radiometal ion's ability to kill a cancer cell; Stability of VFC; Resistance to biological degradation; Cluster-to-metal bonds preventing the radiometal from being released prematurely.
