Focuses on plicatamide, an antimicrobial octapeptide from Styla plicata hemocytes. Formation of cation-selective channels in model lipid bilayers composed of bacterial lipids; Finding that plicatamide was potently hemolytic for human red blood cells but did not lyse ovine erythrocytes.
