Healing Touch, Therapeutic Touch, and Reiki: Energy Medicine Advances in the Medical Community.

The article discusses the growing use of energy medicine therapies, such as Healing Touch (HT), Therapeutic Touch (TT) and Reiki, the common complementary therapies offered in hospital and community-care settings. The benefits seen by HT in cancer, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety are described. The HT program offers a standardized worldwide curriculum, taught in 32 countries, endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association. Reiki is stress-reducing and relaxing.
