Abstract
- Shows that stimulation of cholesterol excretion by the liver X receptor agonist requires adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette transporters G5 and G8. Role of ABCG5 and ABCG8 in enterohepatic sterol transport; Absence of significant effect of the LXR agonist on biliary cholesterol levels, fractional cholesterol absorption or neutral fecal sterol excretion.
