Abstract
- Ponders the actions taken by the Egyptian government to address the nation's population problem in 1966. Launch of a nationwide family planning campaign in February which was grafted onto an existing administrative apparatus made up of a network of Combined Service Units; Grants given by the Ford Foundation in May for the training of staff, and research to adapt international birth-control methods to Egyptian conditions; Importance of mass propaganda which is fully controlled by the state to the regime of President Gamal Abdel Nasser; Consideration of a draft marriage law which mandates the marriage age of men and women to be 25 and 18, respectively.
