Abstract
- The article focuses on a year-long investigation of the cardiac unit of Leeds General Infirmary which concluded that care at the hospital is safe. According to the National Health Service (NHS) England, they found no evidence of excessive mortality in their review of the cases of 35 children who died between 2009 and 2013. Families complained of inadequate counseling and support after diagnosis as well as little compassion and understanding from the medical staff.
