Evaluation of Differences in Percentage of International Normalized Ratios in Range Between Pharmacist-Led and Physician-Led Anticoagulation Management Services.

The article presents the study on the differences between the differences in international normalized ratios (INR) percentage of pharmacist-led and physician-led anticoagulation management services (AMS). The study involved a retrospective chart review at a multisite primary care organization from December 2009 to May 2010. The results reportedly revealed that a pharmacist-led AMS improved the INR percentage in range and offer less-out-of-range results.
