Abstract

The article discusses methods to enhance quantitating of cyanide in human blood matrices through automated cryotrapping isotopic dilution static headspace gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy. Topics discussed include production of hydrogen cyanide (HCN) in cyanide waste, effect of HCN concentration on human health upon their exposure to these wastes, and dependence of pH on HCN distribution is vital in quantitating HCN in blood samples.
