Abstract

The article discusses research on the genomic mechanisms used by the transcript factor (TF) and nuclear receptor Rev-erba to modulate the body's clock and metabolism. Topics include Rev-erba's clock control through binding directly to genomes to compete with activating ROR TFs, Rev-erba's recruitment of the HDAC3 co-repressor to sites to which its tethered by cell-type transcription factors to regulate metabolism, and the use of lineage-determining factors to convey epigenomic rhythm to tissues.
