The article argues that the late South African leader Nelson Mandela's legacy has been tarnished by the South African government's failure to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir who was indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for genocide. According to the article, the South African government allowed Omar al-Bashir to return home safely after a meeting of the African Union in South Africa on June 13, 2015.
