- The article states that stock in health-care companies listed in the stock index the Standard & Poor's (S&P) 500 rose 26 percent between mid-2014 and mid-2015. According to the article, strong earnings and revenue helped increase prices, in addition to buyout bids such as that of U.S. health insurer Anthem Inc.'s bid for U.S. health insurer Cigna Corp.
