Bisphenol A in January 2015: French prohibition and EFSA study.

The article reports on the enforcement of a law which prohibits the use of bisphenol A (BPA) in all food packaging in France on January 1, 2015. The implication of the law on products containing BPA in European Union (EU) starting January is discussed. The contradiction between the findings of a health risk analysis conducted by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the ANSES, the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, is noted.
