Abstract

The African Clawed Frog Xenopus laevis (Anura: Pipidae) is host for two very different monogeneans. Gyrdicotylus gallieni (Monogenea: Gyrodactylidae) is found in the oral cavity and Protopolystoma xenopodis (Monogenea: Polystomatidae) in the urinary bladder of X. laevis. This study focused on external morphology of both species. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
