In this article the engineer Javier Manterola examines, what for many, is the minimal difference between engineer and architect. To this end, the author gives the examples of 19th century Chicago, Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Hagia Sophia and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, among others.
