Abstract
- In this article the engineer Javier Manterola examines, what for many, is the minimal difference between engineer and architect. To this end, the author gives the examples of 19th century Chicago, Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Hagia Sophia and St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, among others. In his opinion, the collaboration between the two is ever-more infrequent as "through technology, the engineer has resolved all the problems that may arise for the architect". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
