Abstract
- The article focuses on representation of the poems "Arcadia," and "Astrophil and Stella," as a literary work exclusively written by Philip Sidney for the few elite his coterie and for the general readership after his death in 1586. It is argued that Sidney was recognized as a significant poet during the English Renaissance after his manuscripts were circulated through print publication. The similarities of the fictitious Philisides and Astrophil with their creator are discussed.
