Abstract

The employment of ( E)-4-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-1,2-dihydropyrazol-5-one (HL) for the first time in 3d/4f chemistry, without any co-ligand, provides access to a disk-like heptanuclear CoII3DyIII4 coordination cluster displaying single molecule magnetism (SMM) behavior. The topology of this compound has hitherto not been observed in CoII/DyIII chemistry. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
