Abstract
- The article states that U.S. banks Citigroup Inc., Capital One Financial Corp., and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. rejected a $19 million settlement supported by the U.S. financial services company MasterCard Inc. concerning a data breach suffered by U.S. retailer Target Corp. The article states that MasterCard and Target agreed to the settlement in April 2015 but required 90 percent backing from banks representing affected cardholder accounts.
