Abstract

The article focuses on the air warfare launched by the U.S. government and Air Force in Vietnam from 1961-1975. The events cited include the foreign relations policy of U.S. President John F. Kennedy and Soviet Premier Nikita S. Krushchev towards Indochina in 1961, the American military support given to the government of Ngo Dinh Diem, and the military assistance given by the U.S. to France and South Vietnam. The strengthening of the U.S. Air Force in Vietnma is discussed.
