Abstract

The article discusses the economic conditions causing distress in England during the period following the 1688 Glorious Revolution from 1689 through 1702, including the political responses to the economic conditions during this period and the impact of the Glorious Revolution on economic distress. An overview of the social conditions of the poor under English King William III is provided.
