Abstract
- The article focuses on a study on the effect of rapid intra-arterial treatment (IAT) along with usual care in the patients with acute ischemic stroke. The study was conducted on patients who had strokes due to proximal vessel occlusion, small infarction core and moderate to good collateral circulation. It mentions IAT resulted in improved functionality outcomes as compared to that of in usual care only. The secondary effects of the study included intracranial hemorrhage and death of patients.
