Abstract

The article discusses the California attorney general and California Governor of the Republican Party Earl Warren's liberal politics from 1942 through 1946, including his perspective on social classes and his support for the U.S. New Deal programs and labor unions. An overview of Warren's policy towards California's industries, including in regard to the state's economic development, is provided.
