Abstract
- The article presents a research that investigates the massive aquifer that stores the melted water, from the ice sheets, underneath the earth surface in southern Greenland. In April 2011, researchers drilled the cores of the ice sheets and measure its thickness but they discovered water-saturated firn that is 10 meters below from the surface. Moreover, they have uncovered the fundamental and overlooked meltwater runoff in the country.
