Abstract

The article offers information on the history, purpose and significance of marijuana prohibition under the provisions of the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 and the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1906. It analyzes the attempt of the U.S. States to legalize the use of marijuana under the Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
