Abstract

The article discusses the relation of plasma urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA) and soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) in patients with lupus nephritis. It mentions the detection of uPA and uPAR in Chines lupus nephritis patients using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). It notes that the significantly increased plasma levels of soluble uPAR could be found in active lupus nephritis that are associated with some clinico-pathological features.
