CARACTERÍSTICAS DO TRANSPORTE DE SEDIMENTOS EM SUSPENSÃO NA BACIA DO RIO BRANCO, ESTADO DE RORAIMA.

This study aims to characterize the dynamics of suspended sedimentin the basin of Branco river, State of Roraima. The methodology involveda survey of hydrological data from the NationalWater Agency, collection andfurtheranalysisof the loadin suspension andthe lifting of theriver discharge. The study indicateda significantvariation inconcentrations of suspended sediment loadinto riversthat make upthe sourcesof the basin of the Branco River. The highlightin sediment yield was Tacutu river, with a contribution estimated at38%for the discharge of the Branco river (Caracaraí station).The Uraricoera river showed an average contribution of 34%. The surveys showed the important role of the basin in the supply of sediment to the Negro river. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
