Abstract

Favoritism, a way of interrelating over closeness from almost every position and trying to accomplish the formal and social relations over these informal channels, can be noticed with a sample observation. On the other hand organizational and managerial favoritism means that giving priority to kinship or acquaintances or political/religious advocacy on appointments and promotions in the public office. Also it means allocation of public resources to favor the partisanship and voter segments. Although favoritism applications are seen usual and commonplace; people have started to feel discomfort. With this research developed an overview of favoritism applications and a classification for types of favoritism. In this classification, favoritism applications are grouped under two main headings as personal favoritism and political favoritism. Personal favoritism in itself, has been divided into two parts as nepotism and cronyism. Under the title of political favoritism, patronage, clientelism, services favoritism have taken place.
