Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 52-year-old male with headache who was diagnosed with mutation in JAK2 exon 12. It informs that the a 200-fold increase in microRNA 125b-1 was detected after performing quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Also discussed are the impact of MicroRNA 125b-1 on acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) associated with chromosomal translocation.
