The future of electron microscopy.

The article discusses the highlights of a workshop held by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Basic Energy Sciences in February 2015 which aimed to identify advances in electron microscopy that would facilitate new science. Topics covered at the event include studies on ultrafast imaging and diffraction, the benefits of electron probe to study the physical properties of materials and continued improvement in the spatial resolution of electron microscopes.
