Abstract

The article focuses on the strategies to address challenges in newspaper industry. Topics include views of Bill Day, executive director with research-based consulting firm Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc., on marketing strategies of newspaper industry, advantages of television (TV) commercials for newspaper, rebranding strategy from newspaper industry, and launch of a campaign called "Smart is the new sexy" by the National Newspaper Association in 2011 to promote merits of newspaper journalism.
