Abstract
- To detect presence of high molecular weight complexes of lgG and fibronectin, plasma of patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia was examined by polyethylene glycol (PEG) precipitation, analytical ultracentrifugation, and im munoaffinity chromatography. Ultracentrifugation identified a bnormal circulating high molecular weight lgG in all patients. This was precipitated by PEG and was shown by exclusion chromatography to contain lgG in a high molecular weight form. Examination of plasma by immunoaffinity chromatography supported evidence for complex formation between lgG and fibronectin and further showed that abnormal high molecular weight lgG complexes are a prominent feature of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and implicate lgG fibronectin complex formation.
