Abstract

The article focuses on the court case Vince v Wyatt in which the British Supreme Court held that after more than two decades of divorce, the wife was entitled to pursue her claim for financial support from her ex-husband. It is noted that the husband's contention that his wife's claims should be struck out was previously supported by the Court of Appeal but indicated that judges should adopt a robust case management stance where hopeless claims are made.
