Abstract

The article describes the case of an 8 day old term male infant presented for evaluation of puffy hand and feet. He was assessed to be dehydrated and was given a does of IV hydrocortisone following concerns for congenital adrenal hyperplasia. A diagnostic voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) indiated posterior urethral valves (PUVs) and pine cone bladder with multiple diverticulum and was prescribed ampicillin for 14 days. He underwent fulguration of the PUV on the 9th day.
