Abstract

The article reports on promoting Vegan cooking in the U.S. and urging meat-loving Americans to voluntarily switch to plant-based protein. It has been estimated that Americans eat an average of 270 pounds animal protein per person per year. Several technological giants are investing some of their billions in developing protein alternatives. It is noted that eating too much animal protein can cause osteoporosis, kidney and heart disease.
