Abstract
- The article discusses technological developments in the information technology (IT) industry as of December 2014, particularly the pressure to major organizations to establish software-defined data centers (SDCC) despite immature technologies. According to ZK Research's Zeus Kerravala, traditional businesses like banks and manufacturers are pressured to cope up with start-up companies. Also cited is the comment by Mark Collier of OpenStack Foundation on the developments.
