Abstract
- The paper deals with a nonlinear analysis of load-displacement curves of the von Mises planar truss. The model with hot-rolled steel members IPE 200 was solved. A nonlinear solution was applied which enabled the monitoring of individual buckling shapes of the von Mises planar truss in the course of pre-critical and post-critical behaviour. Symmetric and asymmetric shapes of buckling were identified. Further, there was determined by computation the value of vertical displacement of top joint, which corresponds to critical internal force in the von Mises planar truss, at which the model passes from precritical behaviour to the post-critical one.
