Abstract
- The article offers information on the mechanism of serotonin release in the dorsal raphe nucleus, presence of peptide hormone insulin in the venom of two fish-hunting cone snails, Conus geographus and Conus tulipa, and enzyme diffusion through catalysis. Topics discussed include inhabitation of extra-cellular serotonin by antidepressants known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, peptides present in Conus, and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy of catalase.
