Abstract

The author explores ways for teaching history related to the battle of Gallipoli campaign, a campaign of the first World War that took place on the Gallipoli peninsula in the Ottoman Empire, to social studies students. Topics discussed include the C3 framework for social studies state standards in the U.S., geographic locations related to the battle, and teaching of strategies for investigating points of views of the both side of group that participated in the battle.
