Abstract

The article discusses a study about the development of an approach that uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in real time to detect when the subject's brain is no longer in an attentive state and provides them with continuous feedback to get them back on track. The study required subjects to attend to either the face or scene aspect of a composite stimulus. It suggested that the neurofeedback improves behavioral performance.
